ACTING IN ACTION
“Martial arts experts are not necessarily great actors in action scenes. I’m looking for people who are excellent actors first, who can be directed to look convincingly skilled in action roles.”
Vincent Soberano
Film and TV director

This workshop is not for stunt performers. It is designed for actors who want to be prepared to take on action roles. The core of this program hinges on director Vincent Soberano’s “Acting for Action” principles:
-
Actor/Double Relationship or Top/Down Relationship
-
A.R.E. – “Action, Reaction, Emotion”
-
F&B - “Form and Believability”
As as serious career actor, learn what a director is really looking for on the set of an action film. Don’t go the wrong direction and expect to master the art of crashing through walls or falling off buildings. That is not an actor’s job. That is not an actor’s necessary skillset. Learn the three principles above through a series of intensive, physically and emotionally demanding workshops. At the completion of the program, participants will be given a certificate of completion and an action demo reel.
